On Motherhood

Something is shifting. These portraits are about that.

Not a session. A sitting. Unhurried, unscripted, shot entirely on analogue film with the eye of someone trained in European editorial tradition.

You wear what you wear. You stand where you stand. The light does the rest.

San Francisco and the Bay Area.

Questions

  • Between 28 and 34 weeks. The shape is full. You can still move. If you're expecting twins or showing earlier, we adjust. Every body sets its own schedule.

  • First or second trimester ideally. Not because of availability — because the best sittings are considered ones. Time to choose the location, the light, the feeling.

  • Wherever you actually live. Your kitchen. Your bedroom. A quiet studio. The coast. The parks. The hills of Marin at 8am. The location is not a backdrop — it's part of the image.

  • Yes. Always. Some of the most extraordinary frames happen when nobody is performing — just existing together.

  • What you'd wear on a day that matters. Simple. True to you. We talk through it beforehand — not to style you into someone else, but to make sure what you're wearing disappears into who you are.

  • Sittings begin at 2 500. Everything on analogue film. A curated gallery of images made to be printed large and kept for the rest of your life.

    Fine art prints available.
